COLOSSEUM, ROMAN FORUM AND PALATINE HILL
Let yourself be enveloped by the beauty of the Eternal City. The tour begins with a visit to the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater in the Roman Empire intended for clashes between gladiators and ferocious animals. It is a surprising example of the engineering knowledge of the ancient Romans still relevant today for the design of modern stadiums. The tour then continues in the adjacent Roman Forum, the first meeting place of the ancient city, destined from its origins to political life, commercial exchanges and administrative activities. It is touching to think that we are in the place where the greats of history such as Julius Caesar, Augustus and Cicero passed. Finally we go up to the Palatine Hill to visit the remains of the imperial palace built by Domitian at the end of the 1st century. A.D. We conclude with admiring the spectacular and breathtaking panorama that can be enjoyed from the top of the hill.
